- Fly to Minneapolis where the kids get to spend a week with Rollie's parents while Rollie and I (yes, just Rollie and I!) travel to London, Dublin, and northern Ireland for 8 days.
- After flying back to MN, the 4 of us will take a train to Chicago and spend 4 days there with family and friends and see the sights.
- Train to central IL to see Meg's grandmother for 2 days
- Spend 6 days in Bloomington, IN with Meg's parents and friends.
- Drive to Smoky Mountains. We've rented a cabin near Gatlinburg for 6 days with Rollie's parents and his sister and her family (including baby Evelyn (their #4), born 2 days ago!)
- Drive to Atlanta to see Meg's brother and sister-in-law
- Fly back to Phoenix for 2 more weeks of relaxing at home!

Sabbatical Itinerary
Well, Rollie has 2 days left of work before beginning his sabbatical. So what are we going to do for 8 weeks? Rollie has some house projects he wants to finish (think garage organization, finishing closet doors, yard work...) as well as golfing, taking Lydia to gymnastics, and going to the zoo and children's museum with the kids. We have a camping trip planned for our last weekend off with friends from our church. AND we're going to travel to 9 places in 33 days :) Here's our schedule:

I am not a blogger...
I am not a blogger. I have never wanted to have a blog, even after having kids. I don't read other people's blogs (there are a few exceptions). I can think of 20 other things that I would rather do than write a blog. So why are you reading this?
Our family has been given an incredible opportunity for Rollie to have 8 weeks off of work! His company gives all employees an 8 week sabbatical every 7 years. What are we going to do for 8 weeks? Join us as we relax at home, do fun things with the kids, try new recipes, complete house projects, and travel to 9 places in 33 days...
