Wednesday morning we all went to the Wonderlab in downtown Bloomington. It's like a small science museum for kids and we all had a great time. There was a bubble room, a stop-motion machine where you could make your own stop-motion animation video, a fantastic water table, and so much more.

Dinner with the Thies's
Last night we went over to Anne and Adam's house and had dinner with them and their two cutie-pies, Kate (4) and Lauren (2). Anne is due in 4 weeks with their third child, baby Pete. It was such a beautiful fall day (80 degrees in October!) that we ate dinner outside on their patio. The kids had a great time playing together.

Anne's Roasted Pears
I should have taken a picture, b/c it was beautiful!
4 ripe pears, cut in half lengthwise with core and stem removed
1 cup brown sugar
4 Tbsp butter
Plain or vanilla yogurt
Melt butter on a baking sheet at 425 degrees and then place pears, cut-side down, into the melted butter. Bake 20 minutes and then remove from oven. Flip pears over, spoon on pan sauce, and bake for another 5 minutes or so. Plate one pear cut-side up, and place a dollop of yogurt in the center. Spoon pan sauce over pear. YUM!
